I am Street Wise and College Smart!

I am two different people! ok three or four maybe. LOL

I have survived 19 years of working in the music scene and the past 11 years of working the MobFest preparation, registration & artist selections. So, basically, I think I can survive anything! I pride myself on being a "metal chick" yet I love a wide range of music.

I have been tested by many and "challenged" by few. Im at a point in life that I am comfortable about myself and all the decisions I have made in life.

The Music Business is my preferred career but a real job is inevitable. Believe me, I’ll never be rich from working in this business. I keep doing it because I want to be involved in the signing of a band to a major. I’ve been close and even been involved in signing on different levels but I’m waiting for the perfect band, the perfect members and the perfect label deal. My perfect DREAM world and me; what a joke at this point.

My Role In The Music Business:
I am a Paralegal- well, I have a Bachelors Degree in Paralegal Studies with a Minor in Management. My original plan was to go to Law School for Entertainment Law; but SURPRISE --- regular life changed that!

Anyway, I'm a glutton for punishment and even though I have a regular job that is fairly fulfilling I still want to work in the music business.

I have been booking bands, managing bands, being abused and taken advantage of by bands, and promoting for clubs, bands and shows for over 18 years now.

My Interests are many. More importantly there are a few things that just make my skin crawl. The main two things are.... Bands that think they DESERVE to get signed. (That takes tons of work and dedication and people to support you down that road.)

And my top .. ..NUMBER ONE thing that I HATE is .... BANDS THAT BELIEVE THAT GROUPIES ACTUALLY HAVE THE ABILITY TO GET THEM SIGNED!!!!!!

Who I'd like to meet:
People that know how to enjoy life and appreciate music. I am looking for bands that would like to do shows in Chicago and Chicago Ridge, IL. Bands that have the ability to promote themselves and can also perform to a certain quality standard. All styles of music will be considered. I'm looking for bands that want to do shows. My Music:
The picture below is The Tree of Life! So, it is appropriate that it is in my music section, due to the fact that in some sick sense music is my “tree of life.” I love the vibe of a song, the words, the feelings, and the soul of where it came from. I’m addicted to the stage. I’m addicted to everything about the day of a big show and thrive on reflecting back on all the great moments. I let the great moments drown the many that have almost made me too jaded at times. I’ve had the honor of working with some of the best bands, clubs, engineers, (I work with my favorite right now; Asim at The Kinetic Playground.) fans, and people in general. Sure there are always the few that forget what this world is about and try to ruin it for everyone, but I’ve learned to accept them for whom and what they are.

Old boring pick-up lines. And, musicians that think they are Aerosmith!
