Each year the digital music market grows and changes enormously, as new business models and trends take shape, and companies enter and leave the market. It is vital to any independent music company to keep abreast of digital developments, and to continuously make new contacts and explore potential income streams in this area. AIM's annual Music Connected event allows labels to do just that, attracting the heavy hitters and latest entrepreneurs from the digital music world for a focused day of networking, deal making and sharing knowledge. Now renowned as the biggest and most cost effective event of its kind, Music Connected returns on 21st April 2009, offering hundreds of independent music companies the opportunity to meet digital music companies of all shapes and sizes, from online retailers to mobile phone companies, computer games publishers, digital distributors and everyone in between. The event returns this year to historic Glaziers Hall, London Bridge, and digital companies already confirmed to participate include iTunes, Amazon, We7, Napster, Juno Download, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, PRS for Music, 7 Digital, peoplesmusicstore, PPL, eMusic, IMD Fastrax, Music Ally, Kudos Records, MUZU.TV, Rightscom Ltd, Shazam, Sound Cloud, Zebralution, Finetunes, Microsoft Xbox andmore, and the list is growing rapidly. Previous events have attracted over 300 label attendees and more than 50 digital music companies, making it the biggest 1-day digital music trade fair in the UK. Key digital music companies will host stands in the Digital Market Place, whilst in the Conference Zone presentations and workshops will update attendees on the latest developments and offer case study presentations on digital marketing and other hot topics. Drinks receptions and a networking lunch (included in the ticket price) will help attendees to make valuable contacts. On sale now via the AIM website here, tickets are expected to sell out in advance. Music Connected is part of AIM's LDA-funded London Connected project, but is open to music businesses and digital companies from across the UK and overseas. Anyone interested in exhibiting or sponsoring the event should email lara@musicindie.com.
