Mmmmmm..... well hello.
Greetings & salutations to my friends on the interbahn highway, as always I hope this post finds you all in fine fettle. Yours truly along with the cool cats at Threeformed Media have been beavering away developing the new and hotly anticipated sister site to SonicJive.com -- Jivewired.com. The release date is yet to be confirmed but late summer or early autumn 2009 is looking good. If you would like to help out, please pack a picnic lunch for all of us and stop by.

What Can Jivewired Do For You?
Well, first and foremost, we are creating a new site that intends to be and remain leading edge and cutting edge (please excuse the buzzwords). Better functionality, better navigation, more user interaction. The suits call it MORE ROBUST. I simply call it way more rad. With lots of stuff. I love stuff.
As far as music, we have designed a number of premium programs that will get more indie music into the hands of more listeners. The word of the day is VIRAL. The phrase of the day is SOCIAL MARKETING. Those concepts will be used to get your music to the masses. It will also create a guaranteed steady revenue stream for your band - but more on that next month. Let me tease you a little. Ooohhh!
I will tell you this much. We are going to get you royalties for airplay. We will be sending information to bands/musicians/performers via private e-mail accounts on a one-to-one basis beginning July 1st so that you are prepared for the transition from podcasting to JIVEWIRED LIVE INTERNET RADIO. Please make sure we have your updated e-mail address.
As always, we are going to stay independent; meaning that those musicians not signed to a major label will benefit much, much more.
How Will Jivewired.com Benefit Non-Music Members?
An alternative to MySpace and Facebook? That alone is worth the price of admission (which is FREE by the way), but we have so much more to offer.
For the past ten years we have watched social networking sites evolve and get faster and maybe just a little more pretentious. What we want to do is take social networking to the graduate school level and offer tools designed to make social networking more useful. Yes, you will be able to create photo albums and store gobs of photos, write blogs and comment on the hot bods you met at your local summer festivals. And you will still be able to listen to all of the latest and greatest in independent music. But, way cooler things are on the horizon for you Jivers and I cannot wait to show you.
Again with the tease. I unabashedly digress.

Podcasts Available For Download
Each week we will make a podcast available for download via the SonicJive toolbar application. This week you can download the latest Jakecast in its entirety. Jakecast is named after my way cool buddy Jake who felt the site needed to pay proper respect and homage to the heavy rock, heavy metal and nu-metal culture. Jake is a big Disturbed, Korn and Linkin Park fan so if you have a request for airplay along those lines visit http://www.sonicjive.com/jakecast and leave a comment.
To download the podcast get the SonicJive Toolbar and click on the FROM THE VAULT tab. The toolbar is available at http://sonicjive.CommunityToolbars.com and like everything else there is no charge and no obscene pop-ups, pop-unders or obligations. It uninstalls just as easy as it installs but I guarantee it is worth keeping and using. No clutter either. I promise.
