First off, I would like to address this to all SonicJive members but particularly to the bands and musicians.

I love this site.  It is 1000x better than MySpace and so not as confusing as Facebook.  Bands that are on this site are getting exposure and many of you are getting new MySpace friends because of SonicJive.

Today I got rid of my MySpace because I love SonicJive and the passion that Mike has for every member.  I know him personally and he is an amazing man who puts EVERYBODY ahead of himself.

He is going to be pissed at me for doing this but I don't care.  I see how much time and how much money he puts into this site and he puts this site above everything else financially, including his own bills.

There is a donation button on his profile page.  I just paid off my Christmas bills and got a decent income tax refund and I made a donation.  Not much, but I found $25 to donate which in Illinois is roughly THREE PACKS of cigarettes.

I am asking ANYONE who reads this to step up to the plate and make a contribution to SonicJive to help relieve some of the financial burden on Mike.  It doesn't have to be $25 - even $2 or $3 helps the cause.

Also, tell your MySpace friends about SonicJive - ask them to come over and check it out.  Look at how much time Aaron Farrier spends on this site.  Ask him how he feels about it, and its potential, as compared to MySpace.

Mike started SonicJive because he felt that MySpace caters to too many mainstream bands and artists, and just like everything else, it squeezes the up and coming bands and puts them in direct competition with artists that are already making millions of dollars as compared to bands like Jules & The Family and Stephen Monroe who struggle to simply get a paying show, get mainstream airplay for their music or find major label distribution for their private or indie labels.

Have you listened to the bands on this site?  They are the best bands and performers that nobody has heard of and Mike has personally selected most of them and even built their profile pages.  I have watched him do this.

So please, step up to the plate and make a contribution.  And if you are financially strapped in these recessive times, at least post a bulletin on MySpace about SonicJive and ask your MySpace friends to check out SonicJive.

This site can be everything an indie label band or unsigned artist ever DREAMED of as far as self-promotion.  So please, help out my good friend Mike.

I am not involved with him in any way other than as a member and a friend. This is simply because I PERSONALLY LOVE SONICJIVE!!!!
