HARDWARE STORE
The Hardware store project is Born in 2007’s summer in Messina, Sicily. Built keeping an eye on simplicity, searching for a simpler and more creative way to make music. From these considerations comes the choice of a slim line-up. Since the beginning, the project seem to work well: in less than two months the first results come to light showing a strange appearance, polyhedric and multi faceted it reunites rock/blues sonorities to jazz resonances, funky vibrations to soul afflatuses.
There are four members: Fabio Vita, Guitar, Mirko Miceli, Bass, Saverio Tavano, drums and Mauro Cavarra, voice. Despite the fact that the band wants to maintain such line-up, they often make use of others musicians when judged necessary.
The band forms itself unpretentious, and unpretentiously the first demo is recorded. After an intense promotional work, made by the members themselves, it finds appreciation in Australia, among the Blue Pie Productions, Sydney, that immediately offers the four a worldwide distribution and promotion contract. Pushed by the need of a more clean and refined sound, the Hardware Store decide to record a real album and to make use of the contract to distribute it. The album, Out of Service, will see the light around the beginning of 2009.
In the meanwhile Hardware’s music travels a lot appearing in many radio shows all over the world, from England to Greece, Italy, USA (Arkansas, Illinois, New Jersey, North Dakota etc…) and Australia.
