Elisha Israel is a Kansas City, Missouri, base reggae artist, winner of the (8-1-04) Midwest Entertainment Music Association Award for best Reggae/ World Beat artist.
(Omaha, Nebraska) in 1987. Elisha began working with the Regional and International Reggae artist as they passed through the area, including Sidney Wolf (formerly of Ras-Micheal and the Sons of Negus and Jimmy Cliff, Garth Dennis (currently with Black Uhuru and formerly with the Wailing Souls). In 1990 Elisha formed his own band
AZ-ONE and is the lead vocalist / bass guitarist for the group. Since that time AZ-ONE has performed and open for many Regional and International acts including The Itals, Burning Spear, Culture, Fela Kuti, the Skatalies,
Luciano, Beenie Man, just to name a few. AZ-ONE
performed on the
Jenny Jones show 01-16-01, and is a three time ASCAP plus award winner.
