"When GC first received East Arcadia's demo, we were so amazed by the young band's talent that we quickly pressed a four-song 7" (with 300 on limited-edition green vinyl). These Ohio/Kentucky natives yearned for social change with their smart and honest lyrics about growing up disillusioned in "the land of the free."

Their meticulous and sincere approach to music helped make them a local favorite. The band also toured several times, spreading their positive messages across the U.S. Think Strike Anywhere's intellect, D4's brutal honesty and Rise Against's hardcore edge in a band of almost twenty-somethings."

Defunct, as of 2003

This band is featured on:

"This Just In..." IndyMedia benefit compilation CD
"We Only See From Where We Stand" CD
"You Call This Music?! Volume 2" compilation CD
"Dropping Food on Their Heads is Not Enough!" benefit compilation CD
S/T 7"

We started in late summer 1999 when I was going to fill in for Chunk for a show. I filled in for him forever, and Shorty joined soonafter. Our first show was sometime around then in the basement of Common Ground coffee house in Covington, Ky. Then there were about four years that happened. I quit, so we played our last show May 9, 2003 at the Void on Hamilton Ave. in Cincinnati, only to play another last show in January 2005 at the Southgate House in Newport, Ky. The four years included several tours, a self-released CD, a 7", another CD and a few comps (xoxox Shahab and GC Records) and more friends and stories than we'll ever be able to keep straight. In truth, the five of us are still seeing things that wouldn't have happened without EA. -Ryan
