Mixing satirical lyrics with music that’s oft-described as down and dirty rock n roll, Scottish four-piece Blind Pew have established themselves as one of the most promising bands on the Scottish music scene. Formed in Largs in 2003, Blind Pew typically rocked their way free of small town life. The four met at school and have been playing together ever since. For the most part now based in Glasgow, the bands prosaic beginnings have led to a musical career that’s anything but generic.

When they started their set with the fantastically titled 'I Just Ran Over My Girlfriend', I knew I was going to see something truly brilliant. The jaunty rock/ska blend Johnny Borrell has taken to the top of the charts isn't just a London thing.
