MUSIC What type of music does the X play? We truly play music that Chicago needs to hear, the type of music that no one else has the guts to play. You might label us as being 'alternative', but in truth we are the alternative to mainstream commercial radio - we are The Escape From Ordinary Radio. We play the best of mainstream and more, and there is no "bottomline", there is no commercials EVER on the X. We champion local music and we play music that you'll only hear on the X. In fact, we are the only station that we know of that plays local music 24/7. If your in a band, and have your band's profile on Myspace, please add us and send us a message about your band. THe X's DJs are always open to setting up interviews and features on great bands, especially the wealth of great bands out of the Chicagoland area.
