Compilation CD?
"The Best Of SonicJive"
We are in the process of making arrangements to produce an annual "Best Of SonicJive" compilation CD.
Depending on production/distribution costs, we would like to sell the CD for about $9.99 or as a Digital Download File for the same price. Selected musicians would split the profits with SonicJive.com on an equal basis as a royalties fee.
If you are interested and do not have a proprietary distribution deal for CD sales, please forward us a song you would like to submit for consideration.
The hope is to have the CD completed in time for distribution beginning one week before Thanksgiving each year.
For the CD we would like to include photos and liner notes, so please give us a brief summation of the song you submit and a picture that is NO BIGGER than 250x250 pixels to be included in the insert.
There is NO GUARANTEE your song will be chosen.
It is assumed you will let SonicJive keep any CD or MP3 file and any artwork or photography you submit unless you ask for it to be returned.
The
"Best Of SonicJive" CD will focus on up-and-coming independent and unsigned acts, from not only the United States but internationally as well.
The initial CD will focus on the various genres of music allocated to the site, but in future years more than one CD may be produced in order for each to be more genre-specific. SonicJive accepts all genres for consideration.
There is no guaranteed compensation if you are selected for the CD as it is dependent upon selling enough to initially cover costs, but once production and distribution costs are accounted for each artist will receive royalties per sale.
That being said, this is a tremendous opportunity for exposure.
SonicJive.com management and staff will have the deciding votes on all music selected for inclusion on the compilation CD.
ALL ARTISTS SELECTED will be required to sign a release allowing SonicJive to sell and distribute the CD.
SonicJive bands, signed and unsigned, that reside in the United Kingdom may be eligible for a special
"Best Of BritSound" CD that may be in the works as well.
That CD will mainly focus on rock and alternative genres, but all submissions will be carefully considered for the CD as well as opportunity for airplay on the Britsound radio show.
