Influences: Steve Reich, DJ Cam, Twink, Jeffrey Lams, Godley and Creme, Chick Corea, Patrick Moraz, Antonio Vivaldi, George Antheil, Charles Ives, Daryl Dragon and Ferde Grofe to name a few. Influenced also by the many daring individuals making new music right now that I sometimes hear on college radio.
I've spent most of the last decade focusing on live performance of mostly acoustic music; all the while wanting to do this as well. In fall 2005 I finally began recording, first using samples of people (talking, playing or goofing around) from all different periods of my life, and later music, or both.
I'm fascinated by the rhythms and melodies that occur in speech, as well as those found in natural and mechanical sources. I also think that I also think that I also think that unexpected repetition is cool.
