Born in the Midwestern state of Wisconsin. Mike Pain was raised in an all to familiar situation, the product of a dysfunctional household. After the break up of his parents Pain moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana to live with his father, stepmother and her three children. This new environment which included gambling, drinking, fist fighting, and a lack of food proved to be even more destructive than the first.

After a long custody battle Pain went back to Wisconsin to live with his mother, it would be five long years before Pain would again hear from his father. Pain began to resort back to the street life as a stick-up kid. He started to slip into a sociological withdrawal, using music as a way out.

Pain later moved to Georgia to again reunite with his father. While in Georgia he formed his first group Pistol Clan. The group didnt last long because several members including Pain were in and out of jail. After being locked up several times Pain felt it necessary to return to his hometown to finish high school. Staying on this positive track he joined the Navy after completing high school. Newly stationed in Virginia Pain began to realize that although this new town was full of musicians of every genre trying to make a name for themselves, he stood out in the crowd with his raspy voice and lyrical content.

Pain began to tamper in the local rap circuit proving himself as an artist. His all out attack on his challengers along with his quick wit made him stand out amongst his peers. He is writing nothing but hits, His skills are sharper than ever and his subject matter has expanded, which has greatly increased his fan base. He has performed in several local club venues; The Jewish Mother, the Broadway, B.E.T Blaze The Stage, Camp Creek in ATL, VA Beach Amphitheater and the Norva just to name a few. He has also been featured in a local newspaper article.

MIKE PAIN, aka Mr. Broken Home, aka Mid-west Bastard wants to be looked at as The Advocate of Americas Broken Homes. He has a style all his own, his uniqueness, his broken home and world of C.R.I.M.E are what made Pain the man he is today. When this Mid-west native gets his foot in the door, hes going to bring the PAIN.
